Visit of President of the SAI of the TRNC to the TCA

Seyit Ahmet BAŞ, President of the Turkish Court of Accounts (TCA) received Osman KORAHAN, President of the Supreme Audit Institution of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), who was in Turkey for holding various talks, on 3 September 2019. Kemal KÖPRÜLÜ, the Ambassador of the TRNC in Ankara, accompanied Mr. KORAHAN in his courtesy visit.

In the meeting held in a warm environment, Mr. BAŞ mentioned the joint works to be conducted with the SAI of the TRNC and international developments in the upcoming period. Also, comprehensive information was provided about the 23rd INCOSAI to be held in Moscow on 24-28 September 2019.

Following the meeting where the parties exchanged their good wishes reciprocally, President BAŞ presented a “cufic” plate with a panel inscription that represents the Divan-ı İşraf (Court of Control), which was an entity that performed the audit tasks related to the state’s financial transactions in the historical Turkish states of Karakhanids, Ghaznevids and Seljuks, to Mr. KORAHAN and a Divan-ı Muhasebat (Court of Accounts) plate, which was based on the first plaque used by the Court of Accounts established by the imperial order of Sultan Abdulaziz Han on 29 May 1862, to the Ambassador Köprülü.
