Workshop on Auditing Funds Provided by International Donors

“Workshop on Auditing Funds Provided by International Donors” was held succesfully on 22.02.2022 between the Turkish of Accounts (TCA) and State Audit Office of Georgia within the continuous cooperation set between two SAIs.

The main objective of the workshop is to facilitate experience sharing between two SAIs on auditing funds provided by international donors which is an audit area in which the role of the SAIs should definitely increase.

In this context, TCA representatives shared their practices during the workshop through presentations on the “General Information and Key Facts of UN-TCA Partnership”, on “ISSAI Framework of UN-TCA Partnership”, “Pre-engagement Activities and Audit Activities” as well as “Reporting and Follow-up procedures”. New Projection for the coming period regarding UN’s Expectation from the TCA about Monitoring was also on the agenda of the meeting. Representatives of the State Audit Office of Georgia, on the other hand, made presentations on their current experience regarding “Donor funded audits” and “Pre-engagement Activities such as preparation and revising of MoU”.

In the meeting, the preparation process of the MoU that is planned to be signed between Turkish of Accounts and State Audit Office of Georgia for further cooperation was also discussed
