Transparent and Participatory Implementation Process of the OP

The main aims highlighted by the TCA Presidency were to strengthen the agile decision making mechanism of the GB on strategic and organisational issues and the effective execution of the EUROSAI Operational Plan, as well as the establishment of a more inclusive and participatory environment for the whole EUROSAI Community.

In this regard, a new webpage was created by the PG on “Reaching out to all EUROSAI Members: Visualisation of the EUROSAI Operational Plan and Encouraging Members’ Participation” in order to facilitate the implementation of the OP by providing EUROSAI’s key players (SG Co-leaders, portfolio holders, PG leaders, WGs/TFs) with an efficient platform to publicize the results of their work reaching out to all EUROSAI Community and to encourage active participation of all members in the EUROSAI works.

This web page was designed to serve as a transparent and lively platform for users to make the EUROSAI strategic management familier and visible and to encourage inclusiveness. The webpage contributed to the achievement of the below mentioned objectives in general:

  • Effective task allocation by keyplayers including WGs/TFs and PGs in order to realize the strategic goals and Governance enhancements
  • Display of all projects included in the OP with respect to leaders/responsible SAIs, planned results and deadline in the OP webpage for knowledge sharing and follow-up reasons
  • Display also of possible projects for seeking volunteer leader(s)/participant(s) to encourage participation and reaching to all members in an inclusive approach
  • Monitoring of the OP projects in a comprehensive and timely manner
  • Making the remarkable outputs and related news from the member SAIs to be accessible for all

In addition to all, by this information hub, EUROSAI members were able to share freely their outputs, opinions, impressions, maybe photos and memories about the events at any time in the Community News section of the webpage. For the last four years, 3 Working Groups, 2 Task Forces and 15 Project Groups have been contributing, together with the co-leaders of the Strategic Goals 1 & 2 and the Governance Portfolio holders, to both the successful implementation of the ESP and to enhance EUROSAI Governance. When the fact that, around 60% of the projects and activities included in the Operational Plan (approximately 100 projects) is under the umbrella of the SG1 and SG2 and being carried out by the WGs and TFs, is taken into consideration, TCA Presidency and inherently the CT always desired and hopefully achieved a close coordination between them.
